Ken Webb is a New York based singer/songwriter. The simplicity and depth of his songwriting puts him in the ballpark of Cat Stevens, Paul Simon and Van Morrison, but his sound is all his own. His music has been described as “Americana World” music.  A rich and compelling baritone engages the listener on a journey with an attention to “story” often not found in modern songwriting. Ken is a wordsmith, a comedian, a lover, an observer, a philosopher, a survivor and a true artist.   His songs have been featured on Showtime, VH1, Nick at Nite, and AMC.  Christmas Pony marks his 5th independent release available on Itunes worldwide.  In addition to his songwriting, Ken is also an award-winning writer/producer/director/editor in film and TV (see separate bio below).  Combining his music making and filmmaking sides, Ken conceived, produced, directed and edited the music documentary film, “World Wide Webb.” WORLD WIDE WEBB is an inspiring and entertaining film following one songwriter's journey to reinvent his own songs in various styles of music with bands from around the world that he finds on the internet. He then travels to meet each band in their hometown to have one rehearsal and a show. The film follows Ken to 6 countries collaborating with 11 bands, demonstrating the power of both music and the web to break down barriers and bring people together.

Ken Webb is an award winning writer/director/producer/editor based in New York City.  As a director- his NYU thesis film, "The Waiters" earned top awards at NYU's First Run Film Festival, The Chicago FF, The Columbus International FF, The Suffolk County FF and was a finalist for the Student Academy Award.  Additionally, it has been programmed by numerous other festivals and has aired nationally in the U.S. on Bravo, IFC, PBS, and CBS television networks.  It also aired nationally on France's Canal Plus.  As a freelance writer/producer/director/editor of on-air promos since '93, Ken has worked for MTV, VH1, Showtime, Nickleodeon, Nick-at-Nite, AMC, TMC, Sci Fi, and Comedy Central.  He is a 3-time winner of the industry's Promax award for his work.   Ken has also produced/directed/edited several comic shorts for Chicago City Limits “1st Sundays” film festival – including “When Kansas Disappeared.” As well as the shorts “Spare Change” and “Fear of Life” for NYC Midnight Run Film Festival and the short “La Liberte” for the 1st Ripfest Film Festival.
